WITH half the season gone , it's worth taking a look at the Premier League and taking a look at how thingsmight workout.
TITLE RACE
In 2014, the main contenders for the title are starting to show their true worth. Although the top six are still quite closely packed, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea appear to be separating from the rest.
The Gunners have fought their way through a difficult period, grinding out results to stay top at the turn of the grid. But with injuries depleting his already thin attacking stocks, the question is will Wenger open the wallet in the transfer window to buy another striker and boost Arsenal's title hopes? If not, how can he realistically hope to outlast his rivals' bottomless resources?
City has overcome some the year and denying those who continue to question Arsene Wenger's team's early struggles to establish itself as true favourites, with eight wins in 10 games. Manuel Pellegrini's side boasts so many options and so much talent, if they can overcome their away woes, it's hard not to see the free-scoring northerners overtaking Arsenal at the top and staying there.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho appears to be galvanising a somewhat unseady Chelsea squad into contenders - but, like Arsenal, their main problem is upfront. The Blues have the worst 'goals for' record in the top five so far and it will be fascinating to see who Mourinho picks in the transfer window and just how that affects the title race.
