Nwakunor, who was confident that the defending champions would reproduce their impressive form and spirited display of 2013 to retain the cup, stressed however, that the young lads must train hard and be in their best elements so as to make it again.
“There is no doubt that the other schools are envious and eager to get the title off your hold but I trust you will not let them do that,” he said.
The 2nd edition got underway last month with not less than 200 secondary Schools and colleges including both finalists of the maiden edition vying for honours at the Warri Township Stadium, Warri.
Meanwhile a former popular traditional wrestler cum dancer in Ogwashi-Ukwu, Delta State, Mrs. Beatrice Eliemenye Ugba (Nee Ndabai) who passeed on, on November 12, 2013 at the age of 73, will be committed to the mother earth in her family compound, in Idimu-Isagba Quarters Ogwashi-Ukwu.
The late Mrs. Beatrice Eliemenye Ugba was the eldest sister of veteran sports writer and former acting Sports Editor of the defunct West African Pilot Limited, Yaba, Lagos, Robert Ndabai, who also worked in the defunct Daily Times Nigeria Limited, Lagos, National Concord Newspapers, The Punch and Lagos Horrizon(Eko Today) among others.
The family said in a statement that the former wrestler who won many championship titles in her hey days would be remembered for her love for peace and unity amongst the people of her clan.
