*Sibi Thrilled With Stunning Brace

Enyimba midfielder Sokari Kingsley is having the time of his life after featuring in his first CAF Champions League match in Sunday's Preliminary Round clash against Anges de Notse.  The 19-year-old had a debut to remember after smashing Enyimba in front with five minutes of normal time left of the afternoon's encounter. His side had trailed the Togolese up until the 83rd minute when Sibi Gwar restored parity and the fans had barely stopped screaming before Sokari gave them even more reason to return home with sore throats two minutes later.  It was a brilliant ure, the whole team felt it," he admits.  Going into their first champions goal that underlined the quality of the player and showed why Zachary Baraje has placed enormous responsibility on his shoulders; to link the defence and attack of an Enyimba side gunning for their third CAF Champions League crown.  Sokari Kingsley has always insisted he is under no pressure in the club that has given him his first taste of top flight football. In fact, he revels in the challenge, he claims. Last Sunday, against an extremely formidable Togolese defence, "I felt great pressCAF Champions League match in over two years, Enyimba's plan was to grab an early lead and effectively put the game beyond the Togolese champions by the end of the first half. But it was the visitors who went in front after Vincent Tchalla capitalized on some poor defending to stun the capacity crowd minutes before the interval.  It was a moment Sokari says, hit his side very hard. "We had missed a lot of chances in the opening twenty minutes. I even missed a good opportunity myself, but we had never expected them to score first because we were the side in control so when they scored, it hit us really hard. We were surprised that we had conceded a goal that late in the first half."  Before the game, Enyimba had appealed to their fans to turn up in large numbers. Meanwhile, Sibi Gwar is thrilled with his performance after coming off the bench to score two stunning goals and help Enyimba earn a 3-1 victory in their CAF Champions League opener against Togo's Anges de Notse. His goals ensured that Enyimba recovered from a shaky start While Sibi Gwar will take all the plaudits for his fantastic display, he wasn't initially favoured to head Enyimba's front-line. Abdulrahman Bashir, Ifeanyi Ede and Mfon Udoh were instead preferred to put the visitors to the sword but several early opportunities that were wasted by Bashir and Ede meant Coach Zachary Baraje had to react swiftly. Gwar said on the club’s website: "I am very excited with my performance today. We had a bad first half but we turned the game around in the second half to eventually win 3-1. It's a good start to our continental ambitions.”   “But the job is not over, we still have the second leg to play but I think we have put ourselves in a great position to advance to the next stage. The experience of this game will change how we take on other games but for now we are all just happy that we won such a difficult match," he admitted.  "For every striker it feels good when you score goals that give your team an important victory and it is the same for me today. I'm very pleased. Hopefully in the next leg I will do my best to score again if I'm given the opportunity.”  Enyimba will take their 3-1 lead to Togo this weekend where they will need to prevent a two-nil defeat to seal their passage to the first round of the tournament.
