A SOCHI
security scuffle has erupted over a boxing kangaroo flag which was being
proudly waved by the parents of a leading Australian Winter Olympian.

David Morris, was sitting on the hill with his family watching pre-qualifying
in the women's moguls when a Russian volunteer identified the green-and-gold
marsupial threat and tried to neutralise it.
"They tried to de-flag us but I wouldn't have a bar of
it," Mr Morris said.
"This guy came up in one of their volunteer uniforms
and said 'you can't have this flag, it's not a real flag, you must take it
down'."
But the feisty Aussie dad didn't comply with the order,
telling the official he would keep it.
"I told him if you get people to take away Russian
flags, then we will get rid of ours," Mr Morris said.
"Anyway, then he went away and we didn't see him again."
