Brazil's most successful international striker of all time,
Pele, has come to the conclusion that his country's defence is their main
weapon ahead of hosting the World Cup later this year and urged them to make
the best use of it as they attempt to banish the demons of the last time they
welcomed the tournament, way back in 1950.
"To talk about the team- this is amazing, because for
the first time in the history of football Brazil has a team that is better than
defending than attacking," Pele told journalists at a sponsor's event in
Dubai, "Brazil always goes to the World Cup with good forwards, strong in
front of goal, and for the first time Brazil has a little problem while setting
up the attack."
"That is the reason why Neymar is a very important
piece, but it is the first time he is going to be at a World Cup and there will
be a little pressure on one player."
Uruguay
ruined the party when Brazil
last hosted the World Cup almost 65 years ago; defence might be the key to
start a whole new carnival.
