Lagos State Football Association has widened it's dragnet for the sponsorship of the
second edition of the Ekofootball Women Championship which is scheduled to begin on
April 1 at the Campos Campus Square arena.
According to an FA boardmember who spoke weekend, "we have begun talks with a company for the sponsorship of the
championship and moves made will soon yield fruits,” he said.
The calendar shows that the group stage will run from April 1 to 10 and
the semi-finals and finals dates come upon a yet tobe named dates be decided later.
The championship, which is open to both
professional and amateur clubs in the state has already attracted 10 clubs that
have completed their registrations.
The clubsinclude: Apapa Queens Football
Club, Adex Queens FC, C.O.D Ladies FC and Jagunmolu Queens FC.
Others are Victoria’s Pride FC, Tokas Queens FC, Young Talented Queens FC, Young Talent s Football Academy, Rising Stars Queens FC and Mainland Queens FC.
