NFF Vow To Strengthen Falcons For AWC

Secretary General of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Musa Ahmadu has vowed the federation would line up more top level friendly matches for the female national team, Super Falcons to put them in top gear for the last round of the African women Championship qualifier against Rwanda. This follows two earlier games played against Japan in the Asian country. Others pairings in the qualifiers  to determine who makes the final are
Algeria vs Tunisia
Ethiopia vs Ghana
Côte d’Ivoire vs Equatorial Guinea
Rwanda vs Nigeria
Senegal vs Cameroon
Comoros vs South Africa
Zimbabwe vs Zambia
According to CAF, seven teams will emerge from the qualifiers to join hosts Namibia for the final tournament from 11-24 October, which is also a qualifier for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada next year.
Nigeria has won six out of the eight editions of the championship since it was introduced in 1998, failing to win the cup in 2008 and 2012 both times won by Equatorial Guinea. He promised Nigerians that the gaol is to reclaim the title and remain tops as ever.
The Super Falcons won the tile in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2010. Equatorial Guinea won the event in 2008 and 2012.
