Technical adviser of Osun Babes, Kehinde Johnson believes that his wards were unlucky to lose in their week 02 fixture away at Pelican Stars.
The Oshogbo based side lost
by a slim 1-0 margin against the home side, despite them putting up a great
fight in the game played at the University
of Calabar Sports Complex.
Johnson said the scoreline was not the true reflection of
his team’s performance in the game as they deserve a better result, insisting
that that the sending off defender Esther Anthony aided their defeat
"My players played to instructions and we did very well
throughout the duration of the game, we conceded the lone goal in the first
half.
"We tried coming back into the game but the referee
gave my defender Esther Anthony, a red card and that made it very hard for us
to come back into the game."
Former Confluence Queens striker, Seyi Gbadebo, lost what
could have given the Omoluabi Babes an equalizer in the second half.
Osun Babes are now third on the table log and host league
Champions Nassarawa Amazon this weekend at the Federal Polytechnic Ede Sports
Complex.
