Jamie Carragher says Manchester United are lacking a coherent plan and feels David Moyes has to get more out of his players. The former Liverpool defender, now working as a television pundit, tore into United after their 2-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday - their 11th league loss of a miserable campaign.
The reigning champions now sit seventh in the Premier League and are struggling to even qualify for the Europa League. The result means their hopes of securing Champions League football are now officially over.
Carragher told Sky Sports: "There has been a lot of doubt about Manchester United this season and David Moyes has taken a lot of criticism. But this was as bad as I've seen them. There has been a few, a long list with 11 defeats now, but I think that was the worst.
"What is the plan from United? When you watch them play you can't quite understand what they are trying to achieve and how they are going about it.
"Last year at times at Liverpool with Brendan Rodgers it was not going well but you could understand what he was trying to do, there was a plan.

"David Moyes has got to get more out of these players, you cannot go from being champions to being seventh, eighth in the league."
Carragher was also scathing about Moyes who said in his post-match interview that he thought United played well in the first half.
