Liverpool have unveiled their new Warrior
kit for next season as they continue to challenge for the Premier League. Brendan Rodgers' side have a campaign-defining
clash against Manchester
City, the winner of which
will find themselves in the box seat to clinch the title. The Reds, alongside Merseyside rivals Everton,
have been the surprise package in the top flight this year. The new strip, again manufactured by Warrior,
has a classic white trim. Captain Steven Gerrard said: 'I have a great sense of
pride every time I pull on a Liverpool shirt.
This shirt feels like a Liverpool classic and
helps me remember the greats, like Roger Hunt, who played before us.' The kit
tunes into the heart of LFC’s identity with the renowned red colour scheme,
whilst incorporating modern style and construction. The striking bold block red
is complemented on each side of the kit by sharp mirrored white piping, framing
the design in a dynamic flowing motion. That is exactly the way in which
Rodgers has brought about a fresh exuberance into Anfield over the last two
years. The Northern Irishman has instilled an new attacking ethos into the
club. Rodgers said: 'The 1960s was such a defining era for this club. Sir Roger
Hunt, Ian St John, Ron Yeats …the list of Liverpool FC legends that played
under Shankly goes on and on.
