MADRID TO RAID MAN CITY
Another week, another target for Real Madrid.
Manchester
City striker Sergio Aguero has made a successful return from injury and
according to some, that means he’s now able to put himself in the shop
window for a big money move away from Manchester.
According to the Mirror, Madrid could be willing to sell
French forward Karim Benzema to Paris Saint-Germain for a whopping £35
million in order to fund a bid for Aguero.
However, Real will need
to fork out a significantly higher amount than that if they want to pry
Aguero away from the clutches of City’s Abu Dhabi owners, given they
bought the Argentine for £38 million back in 2011.
ARSENE EYES PORTUGUESE YOUNGSTER
Lastly,
here’s one to keep a close eye on. Say what you will about Arsene
Wenger, but his ability to nurture a talented youngster into a
fully-fledged star is just about unparalleled in English football.
So when he goes in hard for a 17-year-old from Benfica, people take notice.
That’s
exactly what happened this week when Portuguese media reported Wenger
could be willing to part with £6 million for the services of young
winger Goncalo Guedes.
However, the Gunners face a serious fight from European rivals AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund for Guedes’s services.
