The agreement between
public prosecutors, the Spanish Tax Agency and Leo
Messi, which could cost Barça's Argentinean star up to 41 million, may just
be the tip of the iceberg, because the taxman has his sights set on other
players as well.
One of them is
thought to be Iker
Casillas, who is said to have already coughed up 2 million, according to
reports in the Tuesday edition of 'La Vanguardia'.
The Catalan newspaper
claims that as many as seven players are under inspection and that the Tax
Agency is looking to strike similar agreements to the one it drew up with
Messi, although the sums will obviously vary significantly in each specific
case.
'La Vanguardia'
reports on its website that Xabi Alonso and David Villa are two of the players
under inspection by the tax authorities.
