Daniel Etor scored his first goal of the season for Enyimba when
they outclassed Sunshine Stars on the way to a 2-0 win on Matchday 21 of
the Glo Premier League.
The 22-year-old who has been in fine form since he moved to
Enyimba last season blasted in an excellent left foot strike to give his
side a 14th minute lead and set the tone for a dominant performance
over the visitors.
Etor said on he club's website after the game he hoped the goal would be the first of many for him this term.
"I had clear instructions from my coach to always be in good
positions and not be afraid to make attempts at goal. When I got the
ball, the only thing I saw was the post and the keeper and I had to go
for it," he said "I am happy it went in."
"I don't get to score very often so this goal means a lot to me.
After our Federation Cup games, it was important that we return to Aba
and win convincingly so I am happy that my goal helped the team achieve
that."
"Now I hope this is the first of many goals that I would score before the end of the season," he concluded.
