According to reports, Real Madrid will target Bayern Munich’s David Alaba if Marcelo chooses to leave next summer.
German
newspaper BILD claims that Marcelo could depart at the end of the
season, with the defender suggesting in recent interviews that he would
like to play for Serie A outfit Juventus at some point in the future.
Marcelo
did also state, however, that he was happy at Real Madrid at the moment
and was not looking to leave, but it would seem the club are making
contingency plans regardless.
Prizing
Alaba away from Bayern Munich would not be an easy transaction, but
Real will look to their summer purchase of Toni Kroos as proof that it
could be possible.
