The French striker says despite the $35 million a year contract,
two Spanish titles and a the Champions League with the Blaugrana, he
still misses the Gunners.
“Arsenal is my club,” Henry told French sports daily L’Equipe. “When I left the club, part of me died.
“I cried, and I’ve never cried often, even when I was a kid,” he said.
Henry, 37, returned to Arsenal on loan from the New York Red Bulls in the 2011/12 season.
He said he hoped to “see Arsenal win the Champions League” in the coming years.
“I
have not taken any decision (on returning to Arsenal) and speculation
is not my thing. One thing is certain: I will stay in football, as a
coach, a consultant or executive. We will see,” he said. “The second
certainty is that I would love to see Arsenal win the Champions League.
Whether that is from near or far does not depend on me but it is sure
I’d like to help.
