Benitez: "We're At Home And Real 're Favourites"

Real Madrid boss Rafa Benítez hit back at those who have accused him of being too defence-
minded.
"Real Madrid's ethos is to try to win by attacking and outscoring the opposition, whoever it is we're up against. We don't worry too much about the opponents; we just aim to take care of our side of things", Benítez said in the lead-up to Barça's visit to the Bernabéu.
"There are three extremely important points on the line for our title bid", the Madrid-born tactician went on.
"This is a winning team with the scope to get even better. Having all our players available can only benefit the group as a whole. The strength we showed when we've been missing players is cause for optimism", the former Liverpool boss stressed.
Benítez insisted that he will look to take the initiative against Barcelona: "The attributes of this Real Madrid team mean we have to attack regularly, threaten the opposition keeper and score goals, and that's what we're going to do".
The Spaniard once again referred to the statistics to defend himself against charges of being too negative: "The most attacking team are whoever take the most shots at goal. If you analyse things, you'll see what we're all about. We're going to carry on in the same vein and just try to be more ruthless".
"I don't like being second and we have the opportunity to fix that", he added.
Benítez also countered the suggestion that Barça are favourites: "We're playing at home, in front of our fans, and that's why I think we're favourites. Obviously we're up against a great team but we're confident going into the game and I think we're going to do a great job".
