Roma and Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan thankfully remained a
free man after a mix up at a hotel saw him mistaken for a terrorist by
guests.
Police were called to the Raddison in Antwerp -
Nainggolan's home city - but officers recognised the footballer and the
incident was finally put to rest.Guests had been alarmed by Nainggolan's hat and tattoos, and called the police.
Once everyone calmed down, Nainggolan was happy to pose for photographs with the Belgian officers who had put things straight.
Nainggolan was relaxing with family at the time of the 'incident',
utilising a little extra down time after Belgium's friendly against
Spain was cancelled.
The fear of terrorism that prompted that
postponement has permeated cities in several countries across Europe,
following the attacks in Paris last week - one of which was outside the
Stade de France as France played Germany - that claimed the lives of
more than 100 people.
