Speaking in Lagos, Termena
said Nigeria
the team has done enough home work to keep that would see it retain the African
top rating in both men and women. “Nigeria, which has won the even in the past
three years, is this time presenting a team of five players, two men- Alex
Adewale Wasiu Yussuf and three women namely Remi Basoya, Tosin Daudu with Loice
Auta going as female non- playing captain.
“We are going with a mission
this time and that is to go beyond being champions of Africa but now attempt to
join in the top five in the world when the World Cup holds in Holland in May, he stated. Termena, who said Nigeria’s
rating in the world was seventh after the last world cup, said the desire now
is to climb up the ladder. Asked about the readiness of the players, he said
“the male players are in top shape. Alex recently came back from a tri to the United States, Wasiu has trained vigorously here
I have more or less focused on the females in training here in Lagos. The team is expected to leave Lagos for Kenya
on 25 February.
