Atletico Madrid's
Brazilian born striker Diego Costa again rose to the occasion as his side
thumped AC Milan 4-1 on the night to reach the Champions League quarter finals.
A double from the man that has chosen to represent Spain at this
summer's World Cup in the country of his birth means that Costa has scored in
every Champions League tie he has played in this term- and his strike after two
minutes was the fastest for his sdie in the competition's history.
Milan's consolation came courtesy of an equaliser on the
night from Kaka, whose 30th Champions League goal makes him the highest scoring
Brazilian in the competition's history, although it will come as scant
consolation to the man who would have seen the rest of the Champions League as
a chance to press home his own World Cup chances.
