Diego Costa has spoken of his delight both with the
performance against AC Milan and the fact that his side have reached the
Champions League quarter finals but insisted that thoughts about potential
opponents are not on the players' minds as they go back to domestic business
this weekend.
Costa, who has scored in every Champions League game he has
played in this term, told TVE after the 4-1 trouncing of Milan: "It was a tough game, despite the
outcome. The team played very well and the fans supported us all the
time."
"it is not the time to think about our next opponents.
We will enjoy this result and think about La Liga."
As it stands, Costa's Madrid
are three points behind league leaders Real Madrid and one ahead of Barcelona in the race for
Spanish supremacy.
