NPFL: Badarou Spearheads Heartland 1-0 Win OverThe impressive three-game unbeaten run of Enyimba have been snapped by rivals Heartland in Saturday's Matchday 9  of the Nigerian Premier League game inside the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri. Togolese striker, Saibou Badarou led the two time FA Cup winners to their first victory of the season when he struck late after Chibuzor Madu had failed to clear a routine cross into the box.
After an unexciting first half, Heartland seemed destined for their seventh draw of the season before Badarou turned and shot past a rooted Paul Godwin with two minutes of normal time left to play.
Enyimba, emphatic 3-0 winners over Lobi Stars in their last game struggled to deal with the intensity and determination of Heartland, a team they had beaten four times in the past two seasons.
It would have been a different story however if Abdulrahman Bashir had put away Andrew Abalogu's cross minutes before Badarou's inspiring moment but the striker fluffed his shot and fell to the ground. It was agony for the traveling supporters who had been vocal throughout the game.
But Heartland, committed to snapping their run of draws piled on the pressure in the final moments which stunned  the Zachary Baraje's  led side and effected their dominance of the game.
