SIMEONE STAYING PUT, TORRES JOINING HIM?

*Simeone
Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone has probably overtaken Klopp as the hottest young manager on the market and is naturally rumoured to be in the running to replace Moyes.
Simeone tried to avoid the subject when asked about it ahead of this week’s Champions League clash with Chelsea, saying, “with all due respect the match against Chelsea is a very important match for us and I am not thinking about anything else.”
Well, that’s not entirely true.
Simeone waxed lyrical when asked about the strong bond Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has with his boyhood club, which he captained from the age of 19 until his transfer to Liverpool in 2007.
“I think he (Torres) will play tomorrow and even if the crowd are not with him for 90 minutes, before and after he will receive the ovation he deserves because he is loved by the club,” Simeone said.
“Deep down Fernando is always one of us.”
Simeone and Torres were briefly teammates in Madrid and it’s clear the admiration between the pair is mutual. So if Simeone stays put, and Chelsea continues its pursuit of Atletico striker Diego Costa, could Torres head in the opposite direction?
