It's A Crazy, Crazy... League!

The Spanish league seems to have gone stark raving mad. Here are ten facts to show just how much so. Crazy, but fun!

1/ Atleti can proclaim themselves champions with just two points (by drawing against Málaga and Barça), but might drop to second place with three (winning against Málaga but losing to the Catalans).

2/ Barça had not long ago given up all hope, but now are in with a good chance of winning La Liga.

3/ Barça haven't beaten Atlético in five games, but now they can snatch the league title away from them by defeating the 'Rojiblancos' just once.

4/ Everyone was talking about how Barça were going to hand the league over to Atléti in the last game and it turns out that it's Real that have given Barça another chance.

5/ The second and third teams could notch up 90 points each and still not win the league.

6/ Casillas has been shot at once in the league - and it went in.

7/ The same newspaper that headlined on Sunday "Goodbye Liga, goodbye Tata", now says five days later, "Real hands us the league title!"

8/ La Liga, which has one of the unfairest television rights distribution systems, has been the most exhilarating league in Europe.

9/ Getafe are presently in a position to be relegated but if they beat Sevilla could be mathematically saved from such a punishment in the second-to-last game.

10/ There are still more crazy carry-ons to see out. It is anybody's guess who this year's league champions will be and there are two relegation positions still to be decided.
