LIVERPOOL striker Daniel Sturridge could face an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering a thigh injury in training.
Media reports said Sturridge limped out of training and would undergo a scan on Wednesday.
The
England striker had been set to return to action for Liverpool in
Sunday’s Premier League match at Crystal Palace. Sturridge has not
played for Liverpool for 10 weeks since first suffering a thigh injury
on international duty and had only just recovered from a calf strain.
Liverpool have struggled in Sturridge’s absence, falling to 11th in the Premier League.
