Ever wondered what John Terry would look like as a Simpsons character? Probably not. But just in case, the answer is a bit better than in real life.
As the latest club to sign a deal with the much-loved cartoon, Chelsea will soon have a range of Simpsons-themed merchandise on the shelves, following the likes of Barcelona, Juventus, Zenit St Petersburg, Corinthians, Porto and Boca Juniors.
The Simpsons will also go back to football in time for the World Cup later this year, in a new episode where Homer becomes a referee. Perhaps the show’s view of “soccer” has evolved a little since previous episodes …
