Four Goals In Three Games: Ramos: Leading By Example

The leadership skills, sheer class and courage shown by Sergio Ramos in recent games are simply stunning. The hero of Munich returned to lead the attack against Valencia just as The Whites' title hopes were starting to fade.
He deployed all his weapons, his power and total commitment to the cause. At the Bernabéu on Sunday the only thing Ramos didn't do was go in goal. He covered every blade of grass, playing as a defender, midfielder, attacking midfielder and striker, and even scored the first equaliser.
In short, the Andalusian was ubiquitous in his attempt to lead Real Madrid to victory. Like everyone else he was tired, but he did his best to keep pushing his teammates onwards and upwards. In the end a comeback win proved impossible, but the fact they managed to draw was mostly down to Ramos.
Ancelotti's strategy with the two goalkeepers has given Ramos the chance to wear the captain's armband in all the league games; which in turn has fortified the charismatic leadership of a player who pulls rank both on and off the pitch.
Ramos learned from Raúl that the leader of the pack has to set an example; and that's exactly what he does. He is always the first in terms of commitment, dedication and sacrifice. He sets an example in everything he does and is a true role model for his teammates.
