Semiu Liadi Desperate To Return To Action

Enyimba centre-half Semiu Liadi is desperate to shake off his thigh injury and regain full fitness after being on the sidelines for almost ten weeks.
Liadi who was thrilled with his team's one nil victory against Port Harcourt based Dolphins FC however expressed regret over his non-involvement in the triumph that kept Enyimba firmly in third place.
He revealed was quoted on the club's website how anxious it is to return to action. "I want to return to the pitch because I want to be a part of my team's success," he said "but with the injury I have it has been impossible.  The doctor says I need to rest for at least two more weeks before I can even return to full training so it's a slow recovery process," Liadi rued.
The 21-year-old pulled his right hamstring during Enyimba's 2-1 win over Rangers on Matchday 2 of the Glo Premier League and has been out of action ever since.
By his own admission, he will not be featuring for The Elephants until the second round of the league.
"As it is I will not be playing until after the break so I'm doing my best to recover so I can start playing and helping out my team. Our form has improved very well so it is my desire to perform again."
Semiu Liadi has forged a formidable partnership in central defence with Chinedu Udoji and was a vital part of Enyimba's campaign last season.Enyimba are currently third on the table with 28 points after 18 games.
