The light kickabout was more a staged public display of squad unity a day after a reported training ground bust-up among Australia's group rivals over star winger Arjen Robben diving during opposed sessions.
However, they trained without skipper Robin van Persie, still
nursing a groin strain, and Robben played racquetball while other
members of the youthful Dutch squad did ballwork.

Armed military police guarded the team throughout the session
as they were pursued down the beach by news crews and adoring fans of
all nationalities once the word got out. While the players were off limits, new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal was very popular, posing for photos with fans.
With just three days to go before kick-off, the buzz is building in Rio - as is everything else - still building - but the locals seem unfazed and unhurried by all the last-minute preparations.
