Balotelli Danned from Driving For 28 Days

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been fined 800 pounds and banned from driving for 28 days after he admitted speeding at 109 mph in his Ferrari.

Balotelli was stopped in his Ferrari for driving at 109 mph early on December 3, 2014 on the M62 at Tarbock Island, Merseyside. The 24-year-old had been driving his 240,000 pounds left-hand drive Ferrari, reports espnfc.com.
The incident escalated after Balotelli failed to appear in court last week, though his solicitor Mike Hogan on Friday said the Italian star never received a summons and was not intentionally ignoring the court.
Balotelli was also ordered to pay an 80 pound surcharge and 100 pounds in court costs. Hogan apologised on Balotelli's behalf but said the footballer has a clean driving record.

Then her daughter took to social media to try to find the man.
Tatge says The Wellesley Townsman, a Boston-area news outlet, shared a letter addressed to her.
The unidentified man's wife said the attention was fun, but the couple wanted to remain anonymous.
Tatge says she thanked the wife for her graciousness and good humour. She also apologised for any embarrassment the campaign may have caused.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Indian Man Loses Bid To Buy Brazilian Woman's Virginity

Not a cricket bat in sight. Instead, a taste of the "Maracana" atmosphere as Pakistani and Indian street children met Tuesday at the Street Child World Cup in Rio. The result, a thumping 13-0 win for the Pakistanis, was immaterial, team delegations stressed, as they eschewed traditional rivalries. Star of the show was 15-year-old Raziq Mushtaq, who bagged eight goals to leave the Indian defense in tatters. "I am very happy to score eight goals. I have always dreamed of being a footballer," beamed Raziq. "But I never dreamed of playing an event in Brazil, the land of football," said the youngster, the pick of a selection spotted by non-profit charity Azad Foundation which rehabilitates street children in Karachi. India won the inaugural event in Durban four years ago, but were no match for a side which outmuscled them at the "Maracana," one of the pitches at the Vargen Pequena complex in Rio's western suburbs. Robbed of a triple hattrick only by the crossbar, Raziq said the tournament was the opportunity of a lifetime for him and another 230 children, boys and girls, at an event which boasts former England skipper David Beckham as a patron. - See more at: http://www.hindustantimes.com/sports- 'A game, not war'
"Football is more than just a game for us. At home, people will be proud -- especially as it was India we beat," he told AFP. "But this is a game, not a war. The teams have been billeted together and we are friends. "I want to turn professional and support my family and then other children," he added after a match preceded by the playing of both nations' national anthems, during which players sang and placed right hands on hearts. If the idea of entente cordiale can appear foreign to the neighbors' politicians, the concept was neatly encapsulated by tournament volunteer Annika Katarin, a Londoner of Indian origin. "Sometimes there is friction, but times are changing. I genuinely support both teams," said Katarin, who had painted the word "India" on one cheek and "Pakistan" on the other. "If we youngsters don't change things now then when can we? I just feel upset it was such a thrashing for India," she confided to AFP. At least Raziq listed former Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar as his most-admired cricketer. Indian official Paul Sunder Singh, secretary of the Karunalaya Center for Street and Working Children in southern Tamil Nadu state, said results mattered little at such events. "Who wins doesn't matter. Children have no rivalries."
Giving children a future
After the heavy defeat, nonetheless, Singh and Indian officials suggested that the Pakistanis "looked like professionals. It was not equal. Maybe we would have given them more of a run for their money had it been cricket!" Pakistani counterparts responded their team had spent several weeks preparing hard -- but were the genuine street article. "This is about giving street children a future, said Syed Iftan Maqbool of the Azad Foundation -- slogan, 'unity through competition.' Maqbool put the team through their paces before -- and after -- the game, haranguing his charges for missing their "target" of 15 goals. "You have to set the bar high," he told AFP with a smile ahead of a 2-0 afternoon success over Kenya. Syed Farrukh E Bokhari, supporting the Pakistani charity in London, said street children suffered in that they often had no personal documentation from birth and were seen as non-persons. "In these cases, the government should become a guardian. They should facilitate that. "A child should not need a piece of paper to say 'I am someone.' He is who he is. I am who I am."

Parrot Vanishes For Four Years, Returns Speaking Spanish

A pet parrot that spoke with a British accent when it disappeared from its home four years ago has been reunited with its owner - and the bird now speaks Spanish.
The reunion was brought about by a Southern California veterinarian who mistook Nigel, an African gray parrot, for her own missing bird.
Teresa Micco tracked Nigel's microchip to Darren Chick, a Briton who lives in Torrance.
"I introduced myself and said, 'Have you lost a bird?'" Micco told the Daily Breeze newspaper. "He initially said, 'No.' But he thought I meant recently."
When she verified Chick's name and said she had his African grey parrot, "He looked at me like I was crazy."
He said his bird went missing four years earlier.
Little is known about Nigel's whereabouts the past four years, but Chick says the bird's British accent is gone, and it now chatters in Spanish.
Chick says last week's reunion brought tears of joy to his eyes - despite the fact that Nigel bit him when he first tried to pick him up.
Micco said the behaviour was not unusual and that Nigel would settle back in soon enough.
"He's doing perfect," Chick told the newspaper by the week's end. "It's really weird. I knew it was him from the minute I saw him."
It's the fifth parrot reunion facilitated by Micco, who has been running ads for her own missing bird for nine months. That parrot, Benjamin, flew the coop in February when it darted out a door that was left open.
Julissa Sperling found Nigel outside her home and brought him to Micco after seeing one of her ads.
But first, she took Nigel to her dog-grooming business.
"He was the happiest bird. He was singing and talking without control," Sperling said. "He was barking like the dogs. I'm from Panama and he was saying, 'What happened?' in Spanish."

JET AIRWAYS PLANE DROPS 1,500 METERS WHILE PILOT NAPS
Authorities are investigating how a Jet Airways aircraft dropped more than 1500 metres in airspace over Turkey while the pilot was reportedly asleep. An aviation regulator is looking into whether the co-pilot was also dozing as the Boeing 777-300 travelled from Mumbai to Brussels last Friday, the Times of India reported. Apparently the pilot was taking a “controlled rest”, which means napping as allowed. The co-pilot, who was supposed to be in charge during this time, claimed she was busy on her tablet and didn’t notice the aircraft had lost altitude. The pair were unaware of the situation until they received an emergency call from an air traffic controller asking why the plane had moved from its assigned flight level of 34,000 feet (10,363 metres). The change in altitude meant the 300-passenger jet was flying awry in busy airspace. Following the flight, the crew then failed to report it to India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Daily Mail reported. The regulator was only alerted when it received an anonymous text message about the uncontrolled descent. The pilot and co-pilot have been suspended while the investigation is ongoing. Jet Airways has launched its own internal investigation to find out what happened. Liver cancer diagnosis turns out to be fish bone
A WOMAN’S liver cancer diagnosis instead turned out to have been a fish bone that sliced through her stomach lining and lodged in her liver some 18 months ago, chinanews.com reported. The 49-year-old woman who worked in Guangzhou in south China’s Guangdong Province began to have stomach pains in January. She went to a hospital for a medical check when she returned to her hometown, Wanzhou in southwest China’s Sichuan Province, during the Spring Festival.
Though initially diagnosed with cancer, doctors determined otherwise, and she had laparoscopic surgery to remove a fish bone of 2.3 centimeters from her liver. It caused inflammation of the liver after the movement of the stomach forced it through the stomach lining and into the liver. Laparoscopic surgery is minimally invasive surgery using a small incision and usually a probe with a tiny video camera or fiber optic cable attached. The woman is recovering and has been discharged from the hospital.

From Jail To Job, Tihar Inmates Get Employed
Eight years ago, Ramesh Singh (name changed) had no future to look forward to, having just landed in Delhi’s Tihar Jail on a murder conspiracy conviction. On Tuesday, the 26-year-old was all set to exchange his prison suit for the formal uniform of an assistant manager for the Tajmahal Group of Companies, which runs a chain of restaurants in the city — with an annual salary of Rs. 4.2 lakh to boot.
Singh — who came to Tihar as a barely literate labourer but worked his way through school and a  bachelor’s degree in social work while behind bars — walked away with the highest salary package at Tihar’s placement drive this year.
“I never thought I could start a career after being accused of a heinous crime like murder, let alone get the highest package. Being able to survive after coming out of jail was my only priority,” Singh told HT in fluent English.

Singh wasn’t the only success story at the placements with 66 inmates being picked, up from 30 last year. Atif Hussain (name changed), convicted on an attempt to murder charge, bagged the second highest package of Rs. 3.6 lakh a year from Aariz Media. There were 31 recruiters including the NGOs Vedanta Foundation and People’s Own Foundation and distance education provider Ignou.
Salary offers ranged from Rs. 8,000-35,000 per month. Forty-five-year-old Bhim Singh Yadav (name changed), convicted of killing his wife in a fit of rage 14 years ago, went to People’s Own Foundation for Rs. 2.4 lakh a year. “I am a post-graduate in chemistry and that one moment of rage spoilt my entire life. Things will never be as they were but at least I have something to look forward to now,” he said.
Tihar introduced the campus placement programme in 2011 for the rehabilitation of prisoners after their release. “The companies are hiring people for various posts, ranging from housekeeping staff to consultants. It is based on qualification, calibre and the requirement of the firm,” said Vimla Mehra, director general (prisons).

Gold Bars Rmoved From Indian Man’s Stomach

Twelve bars of gold have been recovered from the stomach of a businessman in Delhi (India), In2EastAfrica reported referring to a surgeon treating the man.
The 63-year-old man was admitted to hospital after complaining of vomiting and difficulty defecating.
He told his doctor that he had swallowed a bottle cap in anger, after a fight with his wife.
But when surgeons operated they found gold bars weighing nearly 400 g in his stomach instead of a bottle cap. Doctors said that police and customs authorities had questioned the businessman and confiscated the gold.
India, the world’s largest consumer of gold, has seen a record rise in smuggling after a rise in duty on imports of metal to curb the current account deficit.
The businessman, who had undergone four stomach surgeries in the past and is a diabetic, was admitted to the hospital earlier this month, with symptoms of “acute intestinal obstruction.”
Last year, India’s government hiked the import duty on gold three times to curb demand for the precious metal. Gold imports, which had peaked at 162,000 kg in May 2013, came down to 19,300 kg in November after the hike.

Brazil’s Neotrogla insect shows first case of sex reversal

GIRLS will be boys and boys will be girls, but a little-known Brazilian insect takes role reversal to a whole new level, scientists have learned.
The cave-dwelling Neotrogla female sports an impressive penis, which she uses to “mate” with her male partner.
He, on the other hand, is blessed with what the researchers describe as a “much-reduced, vagina-like opening”.
As if that does not make the insect’s sex life interesting enough, copulation between the two sexes can last up to 70 hours.
“Although sex-role reversal has been identified in several different animals, Neotrogla is the only example in which the intromittent organ is also reversed,” said lead scientist Dr Kazunori Yoshizawa, from Hokkaido University in Japan.
A study of four species of the Neotrogla genus showed that the penis-like structure of the female, called a gynosome, is inserted into males and used to receive capsules of nutrient and sperm.
Once within a male, part of the gynosome inflates and projects spines which anchor the two insects together.
The scientists found it impossible to pull coupling males and females apart without causing injury.
Their description of Neotrogla’s strange mating habits is published in the journal Current Biology.

Centipede 'almost eats its way out of viper'

A SNAKE has been found with a centipede's head sticking out of its body in what appears to have been a last-ditch survival attempt by the little critter.
Ljiljana Tomovic, a Serbian herpetologist, made the discovery in Macedonia last year when she was tagging snakes and reported her findings last month in the journal Ecologica Montenegrina .
“We cannot dismiss the possibility that the snake had swallowed the centipede alive, and that, paradoxically, the prey has eaten its way through the snake, almost reaching its freedom,” she wrote.
The female nose-norned viper was 20.3 centimetres long, only slightly bigger than the 15.4cm centipede. However, the centipede weighed 4.8 grams, compared with the viper which was only 4.2 grams.
The “David and Goliath” battle occurred on the island of Golem Grad, otherwise known as “Snake Island.”
The paper, entitled “Two fangs good, a hundred legs better”, said that upon dissection it was discovered that the snake was missing all of its organs.
“(This) led us to suppose that the prey caused chemical or mechanical damage to the predator’s digestive organs,” the paper said. “Juvenile vipers ... have been observed to consume (centipedes) but in this case we assume the young snake gravely underestimated the size and strength of the centipede, which itself is known as a ferocious predator.”
It is not the first time that a snake has underestimated its prey.
In 2005, a four-metre Burmese python was found dead after attempting to digest a two-metre-long American alligator.

WITCHCRAFT: CAPS UNITED ACCUSES HOW MINE F.C
ANIMAL bones, hair, feathers and river pebbles are allegedly secreted around sports fields. The goal posts have been sprinkled with urine. The soccer players, some of whom have smeared ancient herbal potions on themselves, take the field. It's a typical soccer match in Zimbabwe, and the presence of such charms shows that, it is as important to invoke magical properties for your side as it is to have fit and talented players.
Now, the CAPS United team in Zimbabwe has cried foul after their rivals known as How Mine, allegedly used “Juju,” or witchcraft, during a key match this month.CAPS United said its officials checked out the dressing room of its opponents 15 minutes after the match started and found suspicious objects, including lighted candles and bottles of liquid arrayed in an 11-man team formation. How Mine wound up winning the November 10 match, and insisted the candles and filled bottles were used for prayers. The win sent the team to the Premier League finals to contend for a $200,000 cup title to hold on November 30.
How Mine coach Philani "Beefy" Ncube, a devout Christian, has denied he uses neither dubious means to win matches nor scare opponents, claiming that his faith use candles and bottles of water for prayers only.
In a sift turn of events however, Zimbabwean soccer administrators are investigating complaints that CAPS United officials broke into the How Mine dressing room after kick-off, and rather claimed to have found objects of the nature of “Juju” or witchcraft.
Police will also investigate the break-in allegations that were likened to a burglary. an official insisted on anonymity because of the taboo nature of the subject.

 World’s Most Educated Country Is…
With spiking tuition costs, insurmountable loan balances, and the unemployment rate for recent college graduates hovering around 53%, it’s clear that a college education hasn’t gotten the best rap lately. Despite the ongoing financial woes across the globe, though, many think that college is still worth the investment. A new study shows that we’ve continued to flock to institutions of higher learning, enrolling at record rates over the past few years. Not surprisingly, the percentage of adults with degrees soared highest in developed nations, reaching 30% in 2010. But which of these nations can boast the status of most educated?
(MORE: Where Are America’s Most Well-Read Cities?)
Based on a study conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), 24/7 Wall St. compiled a list of the 10 countries with the highest proportion of college-educated adult residents. Topping the charts is Canada — the only nation in the world where more than half its residents can proudly hang college degrees up on their walls. In 2010, 51% of the population had completed a tertiary education, which takes into account both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Canada commanded the top spot in the last study in 2000, but even still has shown serious improvement. A decade ago, only 40% of the nation’s population had a college degree.
Snagging the number two most-educated spot was Israel, which trailed Canada by 5%. Japan, the U.S., New Zealand and South Korea all ranked with more than 40% of citizens having a higher-education degree. The top 10 most-educated countries are:
1. Canada
2. Israel
3. Japan
4. United States
5. New Zealand
6. South Korea
7. United Kingdom
8. Finland
 9. Australia
10. Ireland
Today’s Sports presenters and juju for employment
Superstition, juju and occultism, in actual fact looks like merely written words but in sooth, people are using it for their wealthy gains. I thought only footballers indulge in that act but now our own colleagues in sports presentation field are using it effectively for their selfish gains.

Their target is the radio owners, they blindfold them to secure huge financial contracts. Today, Sports presenters are disguised ‘sakawa’ operators in the system. I know several of them who are living a luxurious life because they manipulated the radio owners spiritually to give them huge sums of money as contracts to work for their stations. I have been in the job for almost 15 years, and I am talking from field experience of how hurriedly my colleagues are using this department as a modified occult for wealth. I know a sports presenter in Ghana who suddenly collapsed in a studio during programme and upon seeing how closely he was with death, he has now quit the job and repented. He made all the money, got all the fame, knowing the danger attached to spiritualism he is now a Christian.

I am using this medium to appeal to my brothers to work with their own talent and enjoy from their own effort, manipulating the system spiritually for money has one punishment, death. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?

Some are jumping from one station to another immediately they see a rich man with intention of opening a new radio station. Some are not employed because of their performance but spiritual enchantment in the system is now working as communication links and no matter what, they are like a man who has gone for juju to woo a lady.

Building legacy in this passing world is no solution, what are you building in heaven, my brothers? This canker is mostly going on in those with vernacular presentations because that sector is common in the nation. Those doing that must beware or else...

Beijing Man Lives Down Manhole For 20 Years To Save On Rent

A manhole in Beijing's Lido Garden Community similar to that where Wang lived, where residents claim an old couple lived for about five years. The hole is covered with cardboard and kept in place with rocks.
Beijing city authorities have found accommodations for a man who claimed he had lived for nearly 20 years at the bottom of a manhole to save money in order to put his children through school.
Residents called police after finding the 53-year-old man surnamed Wang living down a utility well in the Lido Garden Community in Chaoyang district on December 4 - a dark and rank space of four square meters to which he sealed the entrance with a piece of cardboard.
Wang claimed he had lived in the space for nearly two decades in order to help support his three school-age children back home in north Beijing's Huairou district, 40 kilometers away.
"It costs a lot to put three children through school. My wife takes care of the kids at home while I look for odd jobs. It costs at least 300 yuan ($49) to rent a room, so [in order to save money] I've lived in the well for almost 20 years," said Wang.
Authorities explain they have arranged temporary accommodations for Wang.
"We will contact with his family members and send him to a rescue center if necessary," said a police officer.
Utility employees explained that although there are no public heating lines that run through the utility wells, they are still very dangerous.
"There is a lot of equipment down there. It's unimaginable what would happen if someone carelessly touched it," said an employee at the Beijing Heating Power Group

Teacher assaults students, breaks kid's nose
*Ciccarelli
A CALIFORNIAN high school teacher has been arrested after he broke into his 15-year-old student's home and assaulted him.
Michael Ciccarelli, 45, allegedly broke the boy's nose after he found the teenager in a "compromising position" with a female relative and fellow student of Mr Ciccarelli's, reports The Californian.
Police say Mr Ciccarelli noticed the two teenagers were absent from wrestling practice at King City High School on November 21. The two students are dating.
He then stormed in to the boy's house while the pair were having sex, broke the bedroom door off the hinges and punched the boy "with a closed fist several times in the face, and at one point kicked him in the face while he was on the ground," according to the King City Sheriff's Office.
Mr.Cicciarelli is currently on administrative leave from work and posted bail from Monterey County Jail.
His lawyer, Joseph Cisneros says his client was simply defending his family.
"He wants it to be known we consider the charges to be serious," said Mr. Cisneros. "We appreciate the charges, their seriousness, but believe he will be vindicated under the class 'defense of others'."
"He used such action to protect a family member," added Mr. Cisneros.
Mr.Ciccarelli has been a teacher at King City High School for 20 years. Members of the local community have contacted local news outlets to show their support for the veteran history teacher.
"Mike is a great teacher," Sherry Vega wrote to The Californian. "He is the kind of teacher who really knows how to make history interesting and relevant.
"It is reasonable that he snapped. ... I can't say the rest of us wouldn't have over reacted [sic] as well."
Another local, Dominic Paz, spoke of Mr.Ciccarelli's patience despite students who would "hit him, spit, cuss, yell at him."
"There's a lot of good he's done for the community by keeping kids out of trouble and giving them a healthy outlet," Mr. Paz wrote. "I just hope the community doesn't judge him too harshly for this one momentary loss of control.

TEENAGERS arrested for illegal entry
*source: supplied
16 TEENAGERS have been arrested after bragging about trashing a mansion where they hosted a party set up on Twitter, and left $1m in damages after stealing items including a $250,000 stuffed leopard.
The teenagers who organised the party at a southern California mansion, worth $7 million, did it on a whim, after discovering it was up for sale.
Known as a ghost party, invites were sent to other teenagers via Twitter - and police say revellers left the house with expensive items including medieval armour, designer Armani suits and a $250,000 stuffed leopard That was last month. This week, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department announced it had arrested 16 teens - helped, in part, by photos they posted online of their late-night romp.
"They were actually bragging about the party, showing themselves within the residence, showing themselves carrying some of the stolen property," Sheriff's Captain Tim Murakami told reporters.
The party took place on November 23 after one teen tweeted that the party would take place in the vacant home's backyard
That night, 100 guests arrived and paid for a ticket organised by the teenagers.

"They just had a free-for-all once the place was broken into," Lt. Arthur Scott told CNN affiliate KTLA.

Man stole $200,000 to feed 121 cats
A JAPANESE man went on a year-long burglary spree, making off with a haul worth $US185,000 ($205,099.78) to feed 121 cats a gourmet diet, police said.  Mamoru Demizu, 48, is suspected of breaking into houses to steal cash and jewels on 32 separate occasions. He told police that he stole things to come up with the money to feed scores of his feline friends, spending up to Y25,000 ($270.42) a day, an officer said. “He said he felt happiest when he rubbed his cheek against cats,” the officer said. Unemployed Demizu kept one animal at his home in Izumi city, western Japan, and about 20 in a nearby warehouse, while feeding 100 more strays that lived in the neighbourhood, the police said. “He would give them fresh fish and chicken, not cheep canned food," he said.

Tutu's home robbed
BURGLARS broke into the Cape Town home of South African peace icon Desmond Tutu when he was away speaking at Nelson Mandela's memorial.
“I can confirm that there was a burglary last night,” said Archbishop Tutu aide Roger Friedman. “We are not able to tell exactly what was stolen, the archbishop and his wife were not at home. The house was not pillaged.” Archbishop Tutu had used the memorial to call on South Africans to follow Mandela's example. I want to show the world we can come out here and celebrate the life of an icon." The timing of the incident is embarrassing for South Africa - the latest in a series of unflattering episodes to occur when the eyes of the world are on the country. It earlier emerged that the sign language interpreter at Mandela's memorial had been "faking" his signing.

I want to play in Brazil for just 5 minutes - Laryea Kingston
The clubless midfielder Laryea Kingston feels his resume is incomplete without a World Cup appearance, the Ghana News Agency has reported.
It said the 33-year-old is still determined to play for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup even if it’s for just five minutes as it is the dream of every player to be in the national team and everyone knows I have given a lot to the national team but have never played at the World Cup. “So if I get the opportunity again, why not. Even just five minutes at the World Cup will do.
“Even being with the squad for the World Cup, if even it is for just five minutes, I will be a complete man.”
The midfielder was once an key member of the Black Stars – forming a feared midfield partnership with Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari.
But Kingston missed an opportunity to play at the 2006 World Cup in Germany due to a ban having helped the Black Stars throughout the qualification series. He was again dropped from the final squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. But the former Lokomotiv Moscow player feels his career is never fulfilled by the deficit of not playing in football’s biggest event and now wants to give everything to realise his dream even if it last the shortest possible time.
“I was a key player in the national team. I helped the team throughout two World Cup qualifiers.
“But I have never gotten the opportunity to play there and that is why I am so determined to make it to Brazil this time,” he was quoted as saying.

Ghana play in the Group G of the World Cup alongside Germany,Portugal and U.S.A.

Man Who Had 30 Kids With 11 Women Overwhelmed By Child Support
You have to say this much for Desmond Hatchett: He has a way with the ladies.
The 33-year-old Knoxville, Tenn., resident has reportedly set a Knox County record for his ability to reproduce. He has 30 children with 11 women. And nine of those children were born in the last three years, after Hatchett — who is something of a local celebrity — vowed “I’m done!” in a 2009 TV interview, saying he wouldn’t father more children.
But Hatchett is back in the news this week because he’s struggling to make ends meet on his minimum-wage job. His inability to make child-support payments on such a meager salary also means he’s back in court again and again, most recently to ask for a break on those payments.
“Yes, we’ve got several cases with Mr. Hatchett,” Melissa Gibson, an assistant supervisor with the Knox County child support clerk’s office, said with a sigh.
Hatchett’s attorney, Keith Pope, did not return phone calls seeking comment.
Under the law, there’s nothing officials can do to force Hatchett to keep his pants on.
“If there’s something out there like that, I’m unaware of it,” Gibson told The Times, before adding, “It definitely needs to be.”
Gibson said Hatchett is believed to hold the Knox County record for most children. (He’d hold a similar record in most counties in the U.S., which might explain why news of his predicament was pinging around the Internet on Friday.)
Gibson said she couldn’t say whether any of his children receive public assistance. The youngest is a toddler; the oldest is 14. Asked in a TV interview whether he can “keep up with it all,” Hatchett said he knows all their names, ages and birth dates.
Also in a TV interview, Hatchett tried to explain — in a PG-rated way how he managed to end up with so many kids: “I had four kids in the same year. Twice.”
When Hatchett is working, he is required to turn over 50% of his wages for child support — the maximum allowed under law. Child support payments are based in part on the ages and needs of the children.
Some of the mothers of Hatchett’s children get only $1.49 a month, reported  WREG in Memphis.

Man Takes His Own Life After-wife-Gives Birth

The birth of a new baby is generally a joyous occasion that is celebrated by the welcoming family, but unfortunately, the jubilant life event has been marred by tragedy for one Texas family. Reports state that a 32-year-old Texas man—whose name has yet to be disclosed to the public—fatally shot himself in his wife’s hospital room shortly after she’d given birth.
The incident took place at the Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital on Sunday afternoon. Investigators say that the child, who was born a mere 3 and a half hours before the shooting, was not in the room at the time the incident occurred. Details surrounding what pushed the new father to take his life are still scarce, but Houston police spokesperson, John Cannon, revealed that his family noticed that he’d been upset lately. “Family members said he has been distraught recently,”.
While some reports suggest that the man’s wife was present in the room at the time of the incident, others say that she was not. What has been confirmed, however, is that she was not injured. Witnesses told reporters that they heard arguing coming from the room a little before the shots were fired, one witness stated the wife had asked the husband for a divorce, and some speculate she informed him that the child was not his.
Following the shooting, the man was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he died earlier today. In addition to investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s suicide, authorities are also trying to figure out how he was able to smuggle a gun into the hospital.
This is such a sad story, but it’s relieving to hear that no one else was injured.

Museum seeks enthusiastic visitor who tours while on IV drip

Nanjing Museum is seeking an out-of-town visitor who was shown in a photo carrying his IV bottle while touring the various displays, Jiangsu-based Modern Express reported.
The photo, captured by a museum guide, went viral online. It showed a man accompanied by two women from the back walking into the museum.
His IV bottle is seen fixed on a stick on his left shoulder.
The museum posted the photo on its Weibo microblog and dubbed him the “most beautiful visitor,” the report said.
“We would like to welcome him for a return visit after he recovers,” museum official Liu Wentao was quoted as saying. “ We would like to give him a guided tour so he can learn more about our exhibits.”
Liu said the man would also be given a surprise gift.
“I saw him collect many pamphlets at the service center,” a museum employee told the newspaper. “He told me he had traveled a long way for the exhibition. He also declined to use a wheelchair.”
Many members of the online community were impressed with the man’s determination.
“Even poor health could not stop him from looking at the artworks and relics,” one person posted in response to the museum’s microblog.
Nanjing Museum’s enormous collection of porcelain from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties is among the largest in the world.

Collector gets 422 million American Express points with purchase of ancient cup
A Chinese collector who bought an ancient Chinese ceramic cup for a record HK$281 million ($39 million) at auction in April got an unexpected bonus when he paid for it on Friday: almost 422 million American Express points.
Liu Yiqian, who used his Centurion Card to pay for the cup from Sotheby's Hong Kong, hadn't even thought about the rewards until he was contacted by journalists.
"He didn't even know," his daughter, Betty, said by telephone, as her father doesn't speak English. "He is checking now to find out about how many points he can get."
Liu's daughter said he used his credit card, which is denominated in yuan, because currency restrictions won't allow him to transfer that much money directly from China to Hong Kong. Individuals are limited to moving $US50,000 ($53,000) a year outside the country because of capital controls.
So what can 421,860,000 AmEx points get? According to the American Express Company's website, they can be converted to more than 28 million frequent flyer miles or about $US180,000 worth of vouchers at Hong Kong retailer ParknShop.
Mr Liu, who drank Chinese tea from the cup shortly before he paid for it, had to sign 24 separate AmEx receipts because the system can only swipe transactions of up to HK$12 million at a time, said Nicolas Chow, head of Chinese ceramics and works of art and deputy chairman of Sotheby's Asia.
Mr Chow said Mr Liu, who plans to place the cup in his private museum in Shanghai, agreed to invite the media for the payment and handover of the cup in order to show that a Chinese collector who bid a record at auction pays his bills.
"There have been lots of transactions in China for large amounts that never come into fruition," Mr Chow said. "With that knowledge he wanted to show it's a real transaction and he's paying."
Mr Liu, whom Mr Chow describes as the most important Chinese collector, said his Long Museum is a "great landmark and a must-see destination" that has attracted visitors including actress Angelina Jolie.
The cup, from the Chenghua era (1465-1487), is nicknamed the "Chicken Cup" for its depiction of a rooster, his hen and their chicks, an allegorical representation of the emperor, empress and his subjects.
Mr Chow said it is "one of the most faked and most revered pieces of porcelain in China," inspiring tens of thousands of replicas.
American Express collects an average of about 2.5 per cent from retailers on each credit card transaction and generated $US18.7 billion of so-called discount revenue in 2013, according to a regulatory filing. The New York-based company spent $US6.46 billion last year on card member rewards, the filing shows.
Because of privacy considerations, AmEx declined to say whether Mr Liu's is the biggest purchase on an AmEx card.
