Why size matters for NBA stars

James Harden’s beard not as good as mine, says Serbian basketballer Miroslav Raduljica HIS team lost the gold medal match at basketball’s World Cup but Serbian centre Miroslav Raduljica is taking solace in his belief he has the edge on US guard James Harden when it comes to facial hair. Shortly after getting spanked 129-92 by the Americans, Raduljica took to Twitter to say his beard was better than Harden’s. So far there’s been no response from Harden — or his beard. So how do we decide the winner? There isn’t much difference when it comes to coverage, thickness and colour. In terms of profile, there are 21 Twitter accounts titled “James Harden’s Beard” — and one has almost 17,000 followers. Raduljica’s beard has none. But Harden started growing his beard in college in 2009. Raduljica has produced his in about 12 months. Let’s call it a draw. Although we can all agree Harden’s beard is certainly an improvement on his fresh-faced look in high school.
