Countdown On For Barça's Trio Of Nemer, Messi, Suarez

This is a Barça side to rival the 'Galácticos'. With a fearsome trio like Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, three superstars cut from the same cloth, it is hard not to dream about treble glory. Messi and Neymar bonded in the Gamper Trophy, both getting on the scoresheet and dovetailing superbly, the Argentine coming to collect the ball and the Brazilian forging into space in a way Pedro would have been proud of. The pair have kept up this chemistry ever since. Suárez will keep playing in in-house friendlies to ensure he is firing on all cylinders ahead of his debut. Still, real match fitness comes with competitive action, so the 'Azulgranas' will have to be patient with the Uruguayan. Then there is the issue of gelling together. The attacking aces will have to show that this three isn't a crowd, making sure not to tread on each other's toes, reining in their egos and allowing one another to shine. Messi will be freed from his defensive responsibilities. No longer will he be expected to press the opposition in a flash; he will be allowed to focus all his energies on wreaking havoc. When the team don't have the ball, the Argentine will be stationed up top, but with it, he will be given the licence to drop deeper and roam - which isn't the same as being expected to be everywhere, as has been the case in the last five years. With two strikers ahead of him, there will likely be some overcrowding in the central areas. How Barça create width in such a scenario will be interesting to see.
