FORMER Los Angeles Lakers star Vlade
Divac hasn’t played in the NBA for a decade, but he still might be more
accurate than the current crop of Lakers.
Divac, who played eight seasons with the Lakers in two separate
stints, was welcomed back to the Staples Centre for the team’s game
against the Golden State Warriors, and took part in a shooting
competition at half-time.
The former centre, who shot at just 23.5
per cent accuracy from beyond the three-point line throughout his
16-year NBA career, was given a half-court shot to win $90,000 for a
charity.
His half-court bomb never looked like missing, and could
well be his most memorable points of the 13,398 he scored on an NBA
court.
