Pedro As Snatch Of The Day

Mourinho was reportedly interested in Pedro in January, but opted for Juan Cuadrado because he wasn’t cup-tied in the UEFA Champions League. But with Pedro looking for game time, van Gaal hesitating, and Chelsea needing an injection of quality and speed to take the pressure off Eden Hazard, there’s no better fit than the man who has scored 99 times for the Catalan giants. M.E.N columnist, and editor of the United We Stand fanzine, Andy Mitten said: “United wanted Pedro and he wanted to go. For a month. United didn’t meet €30m buy out which Barça were adamant they wanted all along. Very odd.” It’s another victory for Chelsea over United in the market, with the likes of Michael Ballack, Arjen Robben, Jon Obi Mikel and Michael Essien some of the talent, alongside Fabregas, to opt for blue over red.
