On Wednesday, the one year countdown will start to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. And the city is pulling out all the stops to ensure a successful games.
An 85,000-strong security staff, more than double the number at the London Olympics, and triple the number deployed for the World Cup final last year.
Concerned that the Games may create an opportune environment for acts of terrorism, the Brazilian government enlisted the help of the country's Intelligence Agency in the security operation.
Something else stands out about the Rio Games: a volunteer group made up of retirees.
Clearly, the Olympic motto of "faster, higher, stronger" is inspiring not just the athletes.
