Steeplechaser Trips Over Jump And Falls Into Water At Athletics Worlds In Beijing
STEEPLECHASER Rolanda Bell wanted to make a splash at the athletics world championships in Beijing but ran out of luck. Bell was at the tail of the field in the heats of the 3000-metre race when she approached the water jump, only to topple forward and perform an unintended dive into the drink! After almost disappearing from view for a second, a stunned Bell emerged from the water and took off after the leaders. She eventually finished 20 seconds behind the winner.
