Nigerian side Dolphin basketball club of Lagos had it rough in their first time out in the continent by finishing in 8th position in the women club championship in Morocco. Friday. Playing in the closing day classification match, dolphin lost 63-59 to I.R. Tanger of Morocco for the7th and 8TH place classification. 5th position went to Kenya’s USIM side who beat the host club, COD Meknes 79-63 in the 5th and 6th place classification tie. As at time of going to press, Nigeria League champions, First Deepwater basketball club and Kenya’s EAGLE WINGS were fighting for the 3rd and 4th place classification.
Two Angolan sides, Primeiro Du Agosto and Inter Clube were battling in the final for the title of the continent.
