SHOOTING STARS LAY OFF ADEGOKE, 22 OTHERS

Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC of Ibadan have sacked about 23 players as part of preparations for the Nigeria National League next season.
3SC management, according to reliable sources dropped star players such as Mutiu Adegoke, Philip Asuquo, Tony Edjomarigwe, Osagona Ighodalor, Olabisi Samuel and Laide Okanlawon.
The affected players have already gone in search for new clubs.
It was gathered that Coach Franklin Howard will retain only 18 of the players whose lame effort in the immediate past season sent the Ibadan darling team out of the elite Premier League, to the lower Nigeria National League.
 One of those affected, Ighodaro, has already moved to Rangers International of Enugu.
The club named players retained to include goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye, Gbolahan Salami, Okiki Afolabi, Sanni Mohammed, Sola Adeboye, Taofeek Adepoju, Francis Edem, Yomi Adigun and 10 others.
