While Angola carted away the most precious prizes, gold and silver at the Afrca women club championship in Morocco, Kenya through Eagle Wings basketball club won the third place (bronze)having won a 67-64 points victory over First Deepwater basketball club of Nigeria. The Nigerian side though came close of set target, were however awarded the championships fair-play trophy. The same could be said of another Nigerian team in the competition, Dolphin club of Lagos, thou tried but placed last among eight teams.
