The #WeAreAllMonkeys campaign against racism, starring Neymar, has won two
awards at the prestigious advertising festival. The campaign won a Gold
Lion in the Promo category and the Silver Lion in the PR category, GloboeEsporte.com reports.
April 27, in a La Liga match between Barcelona and Villarreal, Dani
Alves had a banana thrown at him. The Brazilian player reacted with
dignity and intelligence in the face of this abhorrent, racist act, by
picking up the banana and taking a bite.
Hours
later, Neymar published a photo in which he and his son, Davi Lucca,
are holding bananas with the caption: "We are all monkeys."
It went viral as sports personalities and fans published similar pictures and videos to support the campaign.
