Echiejile, Igiebor Back In Eagles For Cup Of Nations Qualifiers

Five home based players including goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim, Azubuike Egwuekwe Kunle Odunlami Gbolahan Salami Christian Osaguona are among 23 players invited by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). for the double header Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Congo and South Africa . Old foxes, Osaze Odemwingie, Victor Moses, Shola Ameobi and new comer Michael Babatunde were however dropped. Also missing from the list are West Brom record signing, Brown Ideye, Reuben Gabriel, Ejike Uzoenyi and Michael Uchebo, though the NFF is yet to name a coach for the qualifying matches.The board and coach Stephen Keshi are yet to agree on a new salary that Keshi has demanded. But France–based defender, Elderson Echiejile, who missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup as a result of injury, Nosa Igiebor who missed the final cut for Brazil, Chinedu Obasi who was not considered for the tournament, the midfielder, Joel Obi and attacker Nnamdi Oduamadihave also been invited.The list has defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Efe Ambrose, midfielders Ogenyi Onazi and John Mike Obi, and forwards Ahmed Musa and Emmanuel Emenike.
