Nzube Loves Coach Ikhana's Style
Enyimba midfielder Nzube Anaezemba has attributed his rediscovered form to the joys of playing under manager Kadiri Ikhana.
Anaezemba revealed on the club's website that he was thriving under Ikhana as a result of the coach's highly efficient training techniques. "I have to give kudos to the Coach, for everything he has done. He has not only rejuvenated the team, he has equally given me a chance and that is why I am finally playing and enjoying my football."
"I played my first competitive match this season in the one nil defeat to Giwa on Matchday 20. Before that, I hadn't played a single game. Despite attending every training session, Coach Zachary Baraje did not give me a start. Most times I didn't even make the bench," he rued.
"But since Coach Ikhana joined the club, he has changed our training programme and given everyone a chance to fight for a shirt. Not only that, he gives me specific instructions on what I should do on the pitch and it has changed my game completely. I give him all the thanks because I was getting frustrated before his arrival, but now I'm very happy."
Anaezemba added that with Kadiri Ikhana at the helm, Enyimba's fortunes were only going to get better.
"To be honest, things will only get better from here on. There is a new spirit in the team, a spirit of belief and confidence. All the players are happy and want to give everything on the pitch."
"With this Coach, there's no fear and I see us getting good results in the rest of our games, be it league or cup game. The future is just so bright for us now and we are going to achieve a lot," he concluded.
Nzube Anaezemba joined Enyimba from Rising Stars in the 2011/2012 season.
