venue, after extra temporary seating was installed to accomodate an incredible surge in demand for tickets, bringing the new capacity over the benchmark crowd figure of 83,883.
With tickets already sold out, extra seating has been made available, putting nearly 500 extra passes on sale at 11am on Tuesday.
The adjusted capacity means there will be 196 more seats available to fans than the existing ground record since capacity was reduced from 110,000 after the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

The match is already assured of testing the previous record set in
last year's NRL grand final between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, and if all ticketholders attend the game
next Tuesday, it will set a new all-time high crowd figure under the
current configuration. The additional seats have been erected directly above the players tunnel on the bottom tier of the stadium as well as on level six, where advertising boards have been taken down to allow for unrestricted viewing.
"This is a game that looms as one of those unique 'Where were you' sporting moments and the clubs and the stadium want to do everything we can to ensure as many fans as possible can come and see English Premier League champions Chelsea against Sydney FC on 2 June," said Greg Sleigh, ANZ Stadium's general manager of event and business development.
"There's a perception that the last tickets sold are always toward the back of the stadium – on the contrary, this is the perfect case where some of the best seating for the event has just come back on sale."
