NFF Announces Decisions After Executive Committee Meeting In Abuja

Below are decisions of Nigeria Football Federation held its sixth meeting at the in Abuja on Wednesday.
Executive Committee resolved that elections into the Boards of the various Leagues (Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women League and the Nigeria Nation-Wide League) should be conducted in November 2015, with the process to commence in August 2015.
Committee endorsed a memo for the enactment of a regulation for the protection of players of the age-grade National Teams and the establishment of NFF Youth Players Development Fund. The Legal Committee will work out details of this after meeting with relevant stakeholders and looking through the books.
Concerned with the spate at which some organizations and private bodies and individuals flagrantly make use of football for promotional purposes, Executive Committee endorsed a memo for the enactment of a regulation to control the use of the game by corporate bodies and individuals for commercial and promotional purposes. The Legal Committee will work out details of this after meeting with relevant stakeholders and looking through the books.
 In the interest of the nation and as a means of regulating the conduct of players and officials representing the country at any point in time, Committee endorsed a proposal for all players and officials of the National Teams to sign a Code of Conduct, starting with the contingent to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand and the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
5) Executive Committee approved that arrangements be concluded immediately for the staging of the U-13 and U-15 National Competitions.
