Di María made a great debut in France, later telling ESPN Radio he feels that he made the right decision in heading to Paris: "The truth is I'm happy to have moved to PSG, with the likes of Lavezzi and Pastoreas teammates. I never dreamed of a welcome like this. It was the best presentation of my career. I talked with Blanc and his thought is that I should play in a similar position to the one I had at Real Madrid".
He also made revelations about his tricky stint at Manchester United: "It's difficult to adapt to Van Gaal. I had a couple of run-ins with him. I started very well and then I got injured. Things weren't working for me and the coach changed my position. He has his own philosophy and that was one of the reasons I wanted to leave Manchester United".
