Reports Say Drunk Mutu Delays Indian Super League Start

FORMER Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu reportedly turned up drunk to collect his visa to play in the new Indian Super League.
The 35-year-old was signed to FC Pune City in the lucrative Super League, however his behaviour at the Indian embassy in his native Romania, as reported in La Gazzetta dello Sport, put those plans on hold.
Mutu was allegedly drunk and aggressive towards staff, and his visa was not handed over.
However within hours of the story breaking, Mutu hit social media to deny the controversy and posted a picture of the visa. The tweet, written in Italian, called the unconfirmed report in the Gazzetta, “a lie”.
It is possible Mutu returned later in the day to collect the visa.
The striker was booted from English Premier League club, Chelsea, after he tested positive for cocaine back in 2004 and had a reputation as a notorious party boy during his stint in Italy.
