The management of the Nigerian National League (NNL) has warned that clubs that are yet to complete their registration formalities less than few days to the May 2, 2015 kick-off date will be stopped from participating in the competition.
This warning was issued by the
Executive Secretary of the NNL, Lawrence Katken who has said that the
management will no longer tolerate late registration by some clubs, pointing
out that the delay by some clubs to complete registration formalities even with
the late commencement of the league leaves much to be desired.
According to him, “I want to appeal
to the defaulting clubs to use the two weeks postponement of the league to put
the papers in order. We cannot allow clubs that fail to register to be part of
the league even when such club or clubs has or have been drawn in a group.”
Katken therefore urged the clubs to
do the needful or have themselves to blame when the hammer will fail on May 2.
