I Try To Enjoy Life To The Max, At My Own Pace

Rafa Nadal has stated that he looks to make the most of life, while taking things a bit easier off court than on it. He also noted that he considers himself "very lucky" to have experienced everything he has on the ATP tour and that it is a "huge honour" to be compared to legends such as Bjorn Borg and Pete Sampras.
"My style off and on court? I think I'm more relaxed off court than on it. On court I always play with a lot of intensity. Off court I also try to go all out, but in a somewhat more relaxed way. I try to enjoy life to the max, but at my own pace", the Majorcan said in an interview at a Nike Court event.Nadal went on to stress that it is always "special" to take to the court in front of a packed crowd, because he feels the fans are a key "part of the show". The former world number one also remarked that he never dwells on his achievements. "I always take things day by day and match by match. It's a special feeling when you beat a record, but at the same time, you say to yourself, 'Well, I can't stop to think about what's just happened. I have to keep going'".
