Spectators in shock as soon-to-be wed netball player Beth Leske dies on court A YOUNG family is in tatters after the shock death of a 27-year-old woman who collapsed and died during a netball game on Saturday. Beth Leske, from Wollongong, Leske was playing in the final game of the season before the semi-finals when she fell to the ground around 2.20pm. Paramedics were called to the scene following reports that the popular young mother had suffered a cardiac arrest. The Facebook accounts of Beth and her soon-to-be husband reveal a family that was, until the weekend, united in love and happiness. The couple was due to be married later this year. "Deeply sad and so sorry for your loss chris, I love Beth, she is so easy to love, she will always be in my heart, thinking of u bro and my lil mate tarne," wrote friend Lee Karayiannis "Take care of yourselves, love you xoxo" Beth and Chris were both basketball lovers and shared happy snaps of their young son in Wollongong Hawks singlets.
